Hey, I’m Naoko. I live in Amsterdam, work in social media and video editing, and spend the rest of my time searching for the best ramen in Europe and Japan.
2: Why Ramen?
Born and raised in Chichibu, Japan, ramen has always been more than food to me. It’s culture, memory, and obsession.
I’ve been slurping noodles since I was two, thanks to my ramen-loving dad who took me to shops all over from an early age.
In our house, ramen wasn’t a treat, it was just part of everyday life.
Ramenko started in July 2021, during a trip to Krakow, Poland. I wasn’t even looking for ramen. I just happened to find a good bowl at Akita Ramen and thought, “Hey, maybe I should share this.”
That one post turned into a hobby, and now here we are.

This blog is all about ramen, mostly from Amsterdam and around Europe, with some special features from Japan too.
I share honest reviews based on my own experiences, never sponsored.
Lately, I’ve also started promoting my hometown, Chichibu, to help people discover its nature, food, and charm.
