My Experience at Yokohama Ramen Saito
This was my second time visiting Yokohama Ramen Saito in Schiedam, and once again, it did not disappoint! I arrived on a Wednesday around 7 PM and was greeted with a line outside, which shows just how popular this place is among ramen lovers. I decided to try their Soy Tonkotsu Ramen, a perfect representation of the Iekei Ramen style, which originates from Yokohama, Japan. The rich and flavorful broth made from a combination of pork bone (tonkotsu) and soy sauce (shoyu) hit all the right spots.
Why I Love This Iekei Ramen
The ramen here is simply top-notch. From the thick, creamy broth to the tender chashu pork slices, each element blends perfectly. The extra chopped green onion added a fresh, aromatic kick, balancing out the richness of the tonkotsu. For the quality of food you get here, I honestly wouldnât mind if the price increased. The owner is a friendly guy, and itâs clear that he puts a lot of love and attention into every bowl served. Overall, Yokohama Ramen Saito offers excellent value for money and is definitely worth visiting if youâre craving authentic Iekei Ramen in the Netherlands.
Final Thoughts
If youâre in Schiedam or nearby, I highly recommend stopping by for an unforgettable ramen experience. Whether youâre new to Iekei Ramen or a seasoned fan, Yokohama Ramen Saito will impress you with its deliciously rich, comforting bowls of ramen.
