New in Amsterdam: A Must-Try Creamy Tonkotsu Ramen Spot

A New Ramen Shop Just Opened in Amsterdam!

Ramen lovers in Amsterdam, take note — a brand new ramen spot has opened just last month, and it’s already generating some buzz. I recently paid a visit and wanted to share my quick thoughts, especially since it’s looking to be one of the most promising additions to the city’s growing ramen scene.

I made a reservation in advance, but it looked like walk-ins around 5 PM are totally fine. The interior was stylish, clean, and calm — it gave off a relaxed, comfortable vibe that made the whole experience even better.

What I Ordered: Tonkotsu Ramen

Let’s talk about the ramen. I ordered their signature tonkotsu-shoyu bowl, which leans more toward Iekei-style than the traditional Hakata type. The soup is a blend of pork and chicken bones with a soy sauce base. What stood out was how creamy and well-balanced it tasted, without feeling too heavy. Just smooth and flavorful.

Some people find Iekei ramen a bit rich, but this one managed to be satisfying without being overwhelming. The medium-thin noodles had a great bite and paired perfectly with the broth.

The chashu (pork slices) were another highlight. Beautifully grilled with a subtle smoky aroma from the charcoal. Every bite was full of flavor.

And yes… I finished the whole bowl. No regrets!

Anyone else remember Ramen Kingdom in Amsterdam? Their pork ramen was creamy too, right? This new place really reminded me of that — similar creamy, comforting vibes.

Why This Spot Stands Out

It makes me so happy to see a great new ramen spot open in Amsterdam. While there are already several solid places in town, this one brings a refreshing take with its creamy-yet-light tonkotsu broth and stylish atmosphere. It’s a place I’ll definitely return to — and one I’ll be recommending to friends.
