The best Miso Ramen in Uithoorn 【Restaurant Raku】

Raku is a Japanese-run restaurant located south of Amsterdam. At night, this is a Japanese restaurant where you can enjoy a variety of Japanese food, including sushi. They serve Ramen at lunch time. I would like to introduce their delicious miso Ramen that can only be eaten at lunch.

Restaurant Raku

Restaurant Raku is located in Uithoorn. Apparently there used to be many Japanese companies in this area, and they started restaurants here. A tram recently opened near the restaurant, so it’s now easy to get there from Amsterdam.

The restaurant is closed on Mondays and is open for lunch and dinner on other days. It seems that there are long holidays such as New Year holidays and Obon holidays that are following to Japanese holidays.

It’s a quite small and popular restaurant, so I recommend making a reservation before you go. Especially the week-ends.

Miso Ramen

They also have Shoyu Ramen, but I recommend the miso Ramen. It has a rich and deep flavor and is very good. I think it’s probably a combination of pork and chicken broth.

The noodles are made from Nishiyama Ramen, and are yellow, Sapporo-style curly noodles.

There is a set menu that comes with gyoza, so I recommend that. The handmade gyozas are juicy and delicious on the inside. The set also comes with Japanese pickles.

In fact, they also serve Ramen at night, so you can eat Hakata Ramen (Tonkotsu). I’ve been there many times at night, but I always end up eating sushi or Kaisen-don (Chirashi-sushi), so I’ve never had Ramen at night.

During lunch, you can sit at the counter and watch the chef being made! It’s also fun so I recommend it.

Of course, I recommend eating at night, but you can also just eat Ramen at lunchtime, so be sure to go and have some delicious Ramen and gyoza!
